I just wrapped up, i am the rage by Dr. Martina McGowan. This intense read, looks at the rage of being black in an oppressive society and the things we have incorporated into our psyche as a means of coping. This collection is beautifully blended with profound artwork that accentuates the poets words.
I will be interviewing the author on April 26th for This Browne Girl Reads, an outstanding group of book lovers on Facebook and IG. I am proud to be a part of the volunteers assisting in expanding our understanding of literature from people of color.
